Since 1980, Disney has helped Make-A-Wish® grant more than 130,000 wishes – experiences that not only brighten lives but also help wish children and their families replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope.
To celebrate the release of Disney’s thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of the animated classic, Aladdin, Disney will amplify the power of wish granting to support Make-A-Wish. Two of the biggest wish granters, Disney and Will Smith, will encourage fans around the world to join the #FriendLikeMe challenge. The campaign kicks off on World Wish Day®, 29 April. For every public post with #FriendLikeMe from 29 April – 24 May, 2019, Disney Worldwide Services will donate USD 5 up to USD 1 million to Make-A-Wish® to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses all over the world.
